  Pedro Luis regularly attends Sunday school, Bible class and vacation Bible school.
  Pedro Luis's birthday is August 6, and he will be 13 this year.
  Pedro Luis lives in a trading town in northern Colombia, near the Venezuelan border.  Unemployment is high.  Men work as street vendors or travel to larger cities for work. 
  The community has a university, and vocational training is available.  Our support provides Pedro with educational assistance, income-generating activities, social activities, and basic health care.  Pedro Luis participates in devotional studies at the student center and attends vacation Bible school twice a year.  He also will receive his own Bible, to encourage spiritual growth.
  Pedro Luis lives with his father and his mother.  At home, duties include carrying water, caring for animals and helping in the kitchen. His father is employed and his mother is sometimes employed as a project worker.  There are three children in the family.
  Soccer, playing with cars and swimming are Pedro Luis's favorite activities.  In primary school his performance is above average.

I hope you are well - in the name of our Lord Jesus.  I am fine, and happy to be able to write you.  Thank you for the letter - I don't like snakers [ed: snakes either :) ] - but I love to explore - I was in a group called "the explorers of Christ."

Thank you very much for the money that you sent to me for Christmas - I bought two shirts - I wore one on December 24 and the other on December 31.  Here, in the student center, we had a party and they took pictures.  I am sending you a picture of me with my mother.

Thank you for praying for me.  I also love you!

I hope to get a letter from you soon.  And I hope to get a picture of you.
